{"id":33121,"date":"2026-03-20T21:15:39","date_gmt":"2026-03-20T21:15:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thebangladeshtoday.com\/?p=33121"},"modified":"2026-03-20T21:15:39","modified_gmt":"2026-03-20T21:15:39","slug":"bgb-deployed-to-ensure-security-at-sholakia-eid-congregation-in-kishoreganj","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thebangladeshtoday.com\/?p=33121","title":{"rendered":"BGB deployed to ensure security at Sholakia Eid congregation in Kishoreganj"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Five platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have been deployed to maintain security and law and order at the historic Sholakia Eidgah ground in Kishoreganj ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, reports UNB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Like previous years, the 199th Eid congregation will be held at 10:00am at the country\u2019s largest Eid gathering venue todat on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">BGB has taken the security measures as part of its continued efforts to ensure overall safety and maintain law and order alongside its regular duties at the border.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lt Col Touhidul Bari, commanding officer of Netrokona Battalion (31 BGB), said the forces have been deployed to ensure the safety of worshippers and maintain discipline during the congregation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">BGB personnel will work in coordination with the district administration and other law enforcement agencies to create a security perimeter in and around the Eidgah ground, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He also urged devotees to use designated entry points and refrain from carrying bags, sharp objects or any suspicious items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">BGB has been performing its duties with professionalism, integrity and dedication, he added, expressing hope that the Eid congregation will be held in a peaceful and secure environment with the joint efforts of all agencies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Five platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have been deployed to maintain security and law and order at the historic Sholakia Eidgah ground in Kishoreganj ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, reports UNB.
