King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center Delivers 100 Tons of Dates from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Bangladesh Dhaka, Bangladesh \u2013 The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has delivered 100 tons of gift dates to the People\u2019s Republic of Bangladesh, provided by the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as part of its ongoing humanitarian and relief efforts to support communities in need around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Saudi Embassy held an official ceromony on Thursday 12\/03\/2026 to grace this opportunity, attended by Mr. Khalid Hadal, charge of the Embassy, and Mr. Muhammed Bashir, Director in Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Mr. Md. Rasel Subrin, Director and Mohammad Jahangir Ali Khan, Deputy Director from Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief and Mr. Adnan Alenazi, a representative from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The shipment, consisting of approximately 12,500 cartons of dates, has arrived in Bangladesh and was officially received and distributed by the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief. The initiative reflects the strong humanitarian partnership between the two countries and highlights Saudi Arabia\u2019s commitment to supporting friendly nations during important occasions and humanitarian needs. The dates will be distributed to beneficiaries across various regions of Bangladesh, particularly targeting vulnerable families and communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This humanitarian gesture comes as part of Saudi Arabia\u2019s annual program of providing dates to many countries worldwide, especially ahead of the holy month of Ramadan, when dates hold special cultural and religious significance for Muslims as they are traditionally used to break the daily fast. Through the leadership and guidance of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the continued support of His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Salman, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has expanded its humanitarian outreach worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center serves as the Kingdom\u2019s leading platform for delivering humanitarian assistance, relief aid, and development support to communities affected by crises and hardship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Officials from the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief Mr. Md. Rasel Subrin, Director and Mohammad Jahangir Ali Khan, Deputy Director expressed their appreciation for the generous contribution from the Government of Saudi Arabia, noting that such initiatives strengthen bilateral relations and provide meaningful support to thousands of families across Bangladesh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues to play a leading role in international humanitarian efforts, offering assistance in food security, health services, emergency relief, and sustainable development initiatives.
