\"Those who violate this directive and cause public inconvenience during Eid\u00a0will face strict legal action by the government,\" he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The minister issued this warning while responding to journalists' questions\u00a0during a visit to Narayanganj Terminal at 11am this morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier, he inspected Narayanganj Terminal, the under-construction Khanpur\u00a0Inland Container Terminal (ICT) and Bulk Terminal, Narayanganj Dredger Base,\u00a0and the terminal building being constructed near the fish market of\u00a0Narayanganj river port with World Bank (WB) funding.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the inspections, he held a discussion meeting with officials of the\u00a0relevant departments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Commenting on artificial market shortages, Sheikh Rabiul Alam said, \"There is\u00a0an attempt to create artificial scarcity in the market by holding essential\u00a0commodities on lighter vessels. During our on-site inspection, we found\u00a0stocks of wheat on lighter vessels. Those trying to destabilize the market by\u00a0
not unloading goods on time have been directed to face legal action.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Expecting that this year's Eid journey will be comfortable and safe, he said\u00a0that areas with potential disruptions have been identified and instructions\u00a0have been issued. Efforts to ensure smooth Eid travel will be more vigilant\u00a0this year compared to last year, he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
