TBT DESK:<\/strong> The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) on Tuesday approved the appointment of Ms Nuzhat Anwar as the new managing director of Dhaka Stock Exchange PLC (DSE), bringing to the country\u2019s premier bourse a seasoned professional with more than two decades of experience in global finance and capital markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Nuzhat Anwar joins the DSE after a long career at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank Group, where she held a range of senior leadership positions across Africa and South Asia. Most recently, she served as senior country officer for Bangladesh, overseeing operations in Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal, and also acted as cluster manager during the COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent transition period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Her international experience includes serving as IFC\u2019s resident representative for Liberia and Sierra Leone, as well as country officer roles in Botswana and Namibia.
