{"id":31432,"date":"2025-12-04T13:17:51","date_gmt":"2025-12-04T13:17:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thebangladeshtoday.com\/?p=31432"},"modified":"2025-12-04T13:17:57","modified_gmt":"2025-12-04T13:17:57","slug":"khaleda-zia-to-be-taken-to-london-for-treatment-dr-zahid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thebangladeshtoday.com\/?p=31432","title":{"rendered":"Khaleda Zia to be taken to London for treatment: Dr Zahid"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Khaleda Zia\u2019s personal physician and BNP Standing Committee Member Dr AZM Zahid Hossain today said that the BNP Chairperson and Former Prime Minister will be taken to London for advanced treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He said, \u201cIf everything goes well, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will be taken to London sometime after midnight tonight or early tomorrow (Friday) morning.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe decision to take her to London was made according to the advice of specialist doctors,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr Zahid shared the information with journalists at Evercare Hospital shortly before 3 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bssnews.net\/assets\/news_photos\/2025\/12\/04\/inside-image\/1764841969_1.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr Zahid said, \u201cWe have selected a designated hospital in London where we will take her. Specialist doctors will accompany her during the journey to ensure round-the-clock medical care.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Expressing hope over Khaleda Zia\u2019s recovery, he said, \u201cWe are optimistic about Begum Khaleda Zia\u2019s physical condition. She will return to everyone again\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At this time, Dr Zahid also requested the countrymen to pray for the recovery of Begum Khaleda Zia. He also conveyed the gratitude of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and Khaleda Zia\u2019s family to all concerned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has been undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka for the last 12 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Earlier, she was admitted to the hospital on November 23 after developing breathing difficulties due to a lung infection. She subsequently developed pneumonia.
