{"id":30144,"date":"2025-09-20T23:47:17","date_gmt":"2025-09-20T23:47:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thebangladeshtoday.com\/?p=30144"},"modified":"2025-09-20T23:47:18","modified_gmt":"2025-09-20T23:47:18","slug":"investing-in-education-is-investing-in-bangladeshs-future-salehuddin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thebangladeshtoday.com\/?p=30144","title":{"rendered":"Investing in education is investing in Bangladesh\u2019s future: Salehuddin"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>TBT DESK:<\/strong> Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed has called on policymakers and communities to treat education spending as an investment in Bangladesh\u2019s future, not merely an expense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cBy investing in education, we are not merely helping individual students\u2014we are shaping the future of the country,\u201d he said on Saturday, addressing a scholarship award ceremony of the Brahmanbaria District Association, Dhaka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Praising Brahmanbaria as the \u201cLand of Heritage and Harmony\u201d, Dr Salehuddin lauded the community\u2019s unity and foresight in fostering a culture of knowledge and innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Association marked its Executive Committee Installation and Scholarship Award Ceremony at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB), an event that underscored both the district\u2019s proud heritage and its drive for social progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year, a total of 312 scholarships were awarded to meritorious students\u201425 at Honours level, 182 at HSC level, and 105 at SSC level.
