DHAKA : The Election Commission (EC) has started sending letters to the political parties failed to get registration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A total of 121 political parties failed to get registration for their failure to fulfill the terms and conditions of the commission and shortage of information, EC officials said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Letters signed by Deputy Secretary of the EC Mahbub Alam Shah were sent to 62 political parties and the 59 parties will get such letter within next week, officials said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the EC, a total of 143 political parties applied for registration, mostly without furnishing necessary documents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Later a total of 84 political parties submitted the required documents as instructed by the commission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Based on the information submitted to the EC, the Commission gave primary approval to 22 political parties including the newly floated National Citizen Party (NCP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The EC will take final decision about registration of the political parties after field investigation into the information they submitted to the commission.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
