Recognising this immense potential, EXPOPRO hosted a strategic seminar titled \"Manufacturing Modest Fashion Wear: Bangladesh's Gateway to the Global Halal Apparel Market\" at Club 89 in Gulshan, bringing together industry leaders, policymakers, and trade experts.<br>The event provided a platform to discuss how Bangladesh, already one of the world's largest garment manufacturers, can expand into halal-certified modest fashion. With demand for apparel such as abayas, hijabs, tunics, and Islamic wear rising, speakers highlighted the country's strong manufacturing infrastructure and competitive pricing as key advantages.<br>Throughout the seminar, industry experts explored the opportunities and challenges of this emerging sector. Discussions focused on market trends, the importance of halal certification for exports, sustainable and ethical production, and the policy support required to establish Bangladesh as a trusted name in halal fashion. The event drew a distinguished audience, including Anis Wajdi Bin Mohd Yousuf, Counsellor of the High Commission of Malaysia to Bangladesh, and Rozaimee Abdullah, First Secretary of the High Commission of Brunei Darussalam to Bangladesh. Representatives from the Embassy of Algeria, as well as leading figures from the Australia-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ABCCI) and the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), also took part in the discussions.<br>Delivering the keynote speech, EXPOPRO's Founder &amp; CEO, Md Mamunur Rahman, expressed confidence in Bangladesh's ability to become a global hub for halal-certified apparel. He noted that with the global modest fashion industry projected to surpass $375 billion by the end of the year, Bangladesh has a unique opportunity to capitalise on this demand.<br>\"This seminar is about fostering collaboration and building a clear strategy to position Bangladesh as a leader in halal modest fashion,\" he said.<br>The event concluded with a networking Iftar session, allowing attendees to build connections, discuss partnerships, and explore potential investment opportunities. As part of its broader vision, EXPOPRO also introduced the upcoming 21st Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS 2025), set to take place in Kuala Lumpur in September.
