Guterres expressed his gratitude to Bangladesh for its extraordinary generosity to shelter over one million Rohingyas since it has been putting a dramatic impact on society, economy and environment in Cox's Bazar and its surrounding areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"...unfortunately so many borders are closed around the world. You have been a remarkable example that should be followed,\" the UN chief said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He mentioned that the Rohingyas who are getting benefits from Bangladesh's hospitality had no other choice in life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Expressing his total solidarity to the reform initiatives of Bangladesh, Guterres said it would help make the country one of the most perfect democracies in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Adviser Prof Yunus sought UN support for combating misinformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"We need your blessings, we need your support particularly in one thing - misinformation that is killing us,\" he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
