Anwar Hossain said this while meeting with Clinton Pobke, Deputy Head of\u00a0Mission at the High Commission of Australia in Bangladesh, at BGMEA office in\u00a0the city, said a press release.\u00a0

During the meeting, they had productive discussions on mutual interests and\u00a0
the opportunities for trade between Bangladesh and Australia, particularly\u00a0
regarding potential collaboration to increase garment exports from Bangladesh\u00a0
to the Australian market.

Anwar Hossain expressed gratitude to the Australian government for continuing\u00a0
duty-free market access for Bangladesh in the post-LDC era.\u00a0

He highlighted that Bangladesh has the potential to lead in adopting circular\u00a0
practices in the garment sector.
\u00a0
Anwar Hossain also sought the support of the Australian High Commission in\u00a0
enhancing the knowledge and skills of Bangladeshi students in areas such as\u00a0
product and design development, through collaboration with Australia's top\u00a0
fashion institutes.

Clinton Pobke informed the BGMEA Administrator that the Australia Bangladesh\u00a0
Business Forum (ABBF), in collaboration with the Bangladesh High Commission\u00a0
in Australia, will be organizing the Australia Bangladesh Business Expo in\u00a0
Sydney in late 2025.\u00a0

This exhibition will provide a platform for Bangladeshi companies to showcase\u00a0
products from various sectors and explore their business potential in the\u00a0
Australian market.\u00a0
