Bangladesh Ambassador to Lebanon Air Vice Marshal Javed Tanveer Khan, in a video message today, called on Bangladeshi expatriates to remain vigilant and immediately report any difficulties to the embassy for assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIn the current situation, please try to remain safe in your locations. If you face any problems, notify us immediately; we are committed to providing you with the support you need,\u201d Khan said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The embassy has provided helpline and hotline numbers for expatriates seeking shelter, urging them to contact 71217139 (front desk), 70635278 (hotline), or 81744207 (helpline). For email assistance, expatriates can reach out via beirut.mission@mofa.gov.bd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ambassador highlighted the deteriorating security situation in Lebanon over the past several days, with parts of Beirut witnessing incidents of gunfire, roadblocks, and vandalism. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also reiterated the embassy\u2019s previous advice, encouraging expatriates in high-risk areas like Dahieh to evacuate to safer locations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"We extend our sincere gratitude to those who followed this guidance and to the social organizations helping expatriates with food and shelter,\u201d Ambassador Khan added, expressing appreciation for community support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The embassy has been actively monitoring the situation and gathering information on expatriates who have relocated for safety, ensuring that assistance will be provided as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Khan assured that efforts are being made to guide and assist those expatriate Bangladeshis in distress to reach safer areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The embassy has also been in constant communication with authorities in Dhaka, updating them on the severity of the situation and the needs of Bangladeshi nationals in Lebanon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As tensions in southern Lebanon continue to rise, the embassy has consistently advised expatriates to seek refuge in secure locations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
