Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Adviser Md Nahid Islam today said trial of the murder of Lieutenant Tanjib Sarwar will be exemplary as his death in the attack of miscreants is an irreparable loss not only for the army but also for the country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nahid Islam, also the adviser of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, made the remark after a meeting with the family members of Shaheed Lt. Tanjim Sarwar at the Army Multipurpose Complex here in Dhaka Cantonment, said a ministry press release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Expressing deep shock on behalf of the interim government, he said that Tanjim will remain as a symbol of patriotism among the country\u2019s young generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The adviser noted that this young and talented officer of the Bangladesh Army, which is considered as ever-vigilant defender of the country\u2019s peace, order and sovereignty, has sacrificed his life to protect the life and property of the people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe nation will remember his sacrifice forever as an example of the ideal of patriotism,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lauding the role of Bangladesh Army, Nahid Islam said that the young army officers played a strong role in the July mass-uprising and they refused to open fire on the innocent students-people. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThey (army) stood for the people and now they are working for the country from that responsibility,\u201d he said, mentioning that they are also carrying out responsibility of maintaining law and order alongside protecting the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The adviser said that initiatives will be taken by the state to do something to preserve the memory of Tanjim Sarwar at his birthplace in Tangail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A total of six people have already been arrested for their alleged involvement in Tanjim's murder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In response to a question regarding measures to ensure trial and punishment on the murders, Nahid Islam said that they will ensure stringent punishment for this murder. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe whole matter is under investigation. It couldn\u2019t be said that whether there is anything more before the full investigation. But, whoever is involved in this incident will be prosecuted,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At that time, Shaheed Lieutenant Tanjim Sarwar\u2019s father Sarwar Jahan Delwar, maternal uncle, sister and high officials of the army were present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
