SRK's killer look meets lover's charm in new King poster

Shah Rukh Khan has given fans another glimpse of his upcoming action entertainer King. The actor unveiled a new poster of the film on Tuesday, October 27, featuring him carrying a rose between his lips and an intense look in his eyes. The poster hints at a mix of action and romance in the much-awaited film.

Sharing the poster on social media, SRK wrote, “Aaj phir yaad aaya... Qaatil nahi Aashiq hoon (Remembered again today I’m not a killer, I’m a lover.) #KING In cinemas 24.12.26.” The new visual has further raised anticipation for the film, which is scheduled to release in cinemas worldwide on December 24, 2026.

King is set to arrive in theatres on December 24, a date that will see it face competition from several major releases. These include Avengers: Doomsday, Dune: Part Three and Nagarjuna’s 100th film, titled King100, which was announced on the actor’s 67th birthday along with its release date.

At the special meet and greet session on his 60th birthday, SRK opened up about his character in King, calling it ‘ruthless and grey’.

“People often draw a line between a hero and a villain. But I’ve never believed in that distinction. I’ve played roles like Darr early in my career, a character who, by today’s standards, would be called a villain or a stalker. Then came Don, Anjaam, Baazigar, I was the bad guy in all of them,” he said while addressing the fans.

Headlined by Shah Rukh Khan, King also stars Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Arshad Warsi and Anil Kapoor. Directed by Siddharth Anand, King is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures. The film will see SRK in an action-packed avatar.
