Popular singers Balam and Konal are set to captivate music lovers with their latest duet, titled “Nirghum Raat Jane”. The romantic track has been penned by Asif Iqbal, while Shawkat Ali Emon has composed and arranged the music. Recording of the song has been completed at a studio in the capital’s Moghbazar area.
Talking about the song, lyricist Asif Iqbal said love is not always expressed through words. Sometimes, sleepless nights and an inability to concentrate on everyday activities reveal one’s deepest emotions. Although feelings can be concealed from others, they cannot be hidden from oneself. This sentiment forms the central theme of the song.
The duo previously gained widespread popularity with “O Priyotoma” from Shakib Khan-starrer ‘Priyotoma’. They later collaborated on the title track of “Rajkumar” and contributed a song to the film “Hannan”.
They also worked together on the opening theme of the Eid magazine programme “Eidin Seidin Eid Ananda”.
Expressing optimism about the upcoming release, Konal said the song reflects emotions that become evident through people’s behaviour even when left unspoken.
“I hope the audience will love this song just as they appreciated our previous collaborations,” she said.
Meanwhile, Konal remains active in recording songs for television dramas, while Balam is currently busy working on several musical projects.
