RAJSHAHI – ASA, a non-government development organization, has disbursed loan worth over Taka 4,000 crore among its 10.5 lakh members in Rajshahi division in the first 10 months of the current fiscal year.

The organization has also set a target of disbursing loan of Taka 6,000 crore during the next financial year in the division for eradicating its poverty.

This was revealed at Rajshahi Divisional Coordination Meeting of the organization at Hotel Nice International in the city on Wednesday.

Around 118 officials of the organization working in different areas of the division joined the daylong meeting.

Former cabinet secretary and senior deputy president of ASA addressed the meeting as chief guest.

Executive Vice-president Sushil Kumar Roy, Operational Manager Foyzar Rahman, Accounts and Finance Manager Dr Tofayefur Rahman and Programme Director Abdus Samad also spoke.

The chief guest urged the field level staff and officials to perform their duties with utmost sincerity and honesty so that the targets of disbursing loans are attained. He put emphasis on maintaining quality of works.
