BOGURA  – Two people were killed in a road accident at Betbari Sujabad Dahpara under Shajahanpur upazila of the district this morning.

The deceased were identified as Sultan Ahamed, 42, son of Abdul Kader of Babupukur area under Gabtoli upazila and Kamaruddin, 40, son of Omaruddin, a resident of Madla-Darinanda village under Shajahanpur upazila of the
district.

Sun Inspector of Shajahanpur police station Jahangir Kabir said the accident occurred when a brick-laden truck hit a CNG-run auto rickshaw from behind in the area at about 10 am, leaving auto rickshaw passenger Kamaruddin
dead on the spot and its driver injured.

Injured Sultan was sent to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
