Govt. to provide special security to people who received threats

DHAKA,   – Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal today said special security arrangements were being made for people who received militant threats while law enforcement agencies were working to track down the culprits.

“Those who received threats will be provided with security,” Kamal told newsmen as rights activist Advocate Sultana Kamal and writer and historian Professor Muntasir Mamun overnight lodged general diaries with police saying they received death threats from militants.

Kamal added that law enforcement agencies were trying to track down the culprits while they were busting their militant dens one after another.

The minister said skills and capabilities of the security agencies were increased as they were working to thwart militants.

Kamal militancy in Bangladesh was related to an international conspiracy as whenever any attack took place one particular foreign website “Site” attributes that to a global militant group.
