North South University to celebrate Pohela Boishakh 1426

Pohela Boishakh being one of the biggest festivals, is back again along with joy and colors in everyone’s life. It has always been the most colorful event and North South University is set with its utmost activities to embrace this event on coming 14th of April, 2019 with great enthusiasm in its university premises, said a press release.

North South University Shangskritik Shangathan (NSUSS) has been upholding the legacy of organizing the first day of Bengali New Year in grandeur for the past decade. It has been in forefront in welcoming Bengali New Year. As the day is coming near, the members of Shangskritik Shangathan are indulged into making various handmade features like festoons, flyers, wall posters, structures and also alponas to bring out the festive vibe all over the campus. The daylong event will be inaugurated by a colorful mongol shobhajatra. It will be then followed by a string of live performances of traditional dance and folk music. The renowned Bangladeshi band, Arbovirus is going to perform on stage after midday.

Dr. A.K. Abdul Momen will be present as the as the chief guest at the occasion. Moreover, the boishakh festival will be further graced by the presence of The Vice Chancellor, Professor Atiqul Islam and the Members of Board of Trustees.

NSU believes in upholding the traditional values and customs and is hoping to bring down the Bengali New year in the best possible manner. The general secretary of NSUSS, Ishtiaq Ahmed Chowdhury said that, ‘ Pohela Boishakh holds a special place in the heart of all NSU studnets and now all the students are eagerly looking forward to the day.
