Mild cold wave sweeps over parts of the country

DHAKA – Mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over the regions of Dinajpur, Tetulia, Dimla, Rajarhat, Rajshahi, Pabna, Badalgachhi, Satkhira, Jashore, Chuadanga, Barishal, Srimangal, Sitakunda, Mymensingh, Gopalgonj and Faridpur and it may continue for few days, a met office release said today.

Light to moderate fog may occur at some places over the country from late night to tomorrow morning, it added.

Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country and also having chances of light rain in Cox’s Bazar district during the time, it continued.

Night temperature may fall by (1-2) o C and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

The highest temperature in the country on yesterday was recorded 29.0 degrees Celsius at Teknaf and Feni in Chattogram while today’s minimum temperature was 7.0 degree Celsius at Tetulia in Rangpur.

The sun sets today at 5.26 pm and rises at 6.43 am tomorrow in the capital.
