Juwel Ahmed guiding underprivileged children towards the light of education
TBT Report : Friendship School is playing a vital role in spreading education among underprivileged children in Tangail, Bangladesh. Established in 2012 by a young and ambitious journalist named Md. Juwel Ahmed, this school is located in the Tangail zilla sadar and provides an educational opportunity for over 200 disadvantaged and marginalized children. Its mission is to ensure that socially neglected and underprivileged children receive quality education and become self-reliant and educated individuals.
Sorker Mohammed Kaysar, the Superintendent of Police in Tangail district, stated that underprivileged children are an integral part of society, and their development is essential for overall societal progress. Friendship School is working towards fulfilling the dreams of these underprivileged children and is praised for its dedication to providing quality education.
He further emphasized that the school’s activities, aimed at ensuring holistic education for underprivileged children, will have a significant impact not only in Tangail but throughout the country.
However, he also emphasized the need for everyone’s cooperation to achieve this noble goal.
Shahidul Islam, the Director-General of the Prime Minister’s Office, referred to this initiative as a role model for promoting peace in society. He commended the school for its praiseworthy efforts and mentioned visiting it several times, acknowledging it as a commendable initiative.
The founder of Friendship School, Md. Juwel Ahmed, currently serves as the Head of News at the media organization CNI. He has consistently been involved in various forms of charitable work, supporting and assisting people in need since his childhood.
