Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni today said that anyone who would spreads rumors on question paper leak of the ongoing SSC and equivalent exams will be punished as per the law.

“There is no chance of question leakage. So, anyone who spreads rumors will be strictly punished,” she said, emerging from an examination center at Badda High School in the capital, on the first day of this year’s SSC and equivalent exams, said an official release.

Stating that the social media is being monitored all the time to prevent rumors, the Minister said that, “Wherever there is any deviation or illegal activity, we are taking immediate action to stop it.”

When asked about the examination schedules, she said, “We are trying to hold the examinations earlier next year…the decision will be taken after getting the opinions of the teachers and students.”

The Education Minister also urged all concerned to be aware so that there remains no mistake in the question paper.

Deputy Minister of Education Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury, Secretary of Secondary and Higher Education Department Soleman Khan, Director General of Secondary and Higher Education Directorate Professor Nehal Ahmed and Chairman of Dhaka Board Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar were present during the minister’s visit.
