Ekram has come a long way since his days as a professional gamer, representing Nepal and Bangladesh in 7 major international leagues. As a founding member of 7Sea Esports and Head of Operations, he proved his leadership skills and communication abilities, and as Influencer and Esports Operations Manager for South Asia at Garena, he was responsible for platform acquisition, product operations and growth strategies.

But his journey in the industry took a turn when he joined Spotify in 2022 as the first Bangladeshi working for the South Asian markets in A&L Partnership, SAS. Based in Dubai and working from Spotify’s MENA headquarters, Ekram provides support to cross functional teams, specializing in developing artist knowledge, maintaining interpersonal relationships and assisting with Spotify for Artists tools. He is also responsible for market insights, data analysis and research, ensuring the music team is able to engage with artists and labels in a positive way.

Ekram’s goal is to bring increasing exposure to Spotify in Bangladesh, promoting the use of genuine streaming platforms over pirated music. He wants to make it easier for artists and labels to adapt to digital streaming technologies, building a better revenue model for them. With his hard work and determination, he has received immense appreciation and awards from institutions such as SOS Hermain Gmeiner and Government Science College.

But his love and respect for artists knows no bounds, and he is always willing to help them in any way he can.
