Popular Bangladeshi actor Chanchal Chowdhury will play the role of Mrinal Sen in the film ‘Padatik’.
Based on the life of renowned Bengali filmmaker Mrinal Sen, the movie is being directed by noted Kolkata’s filmmaker Srijit Mukherji.
Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan on Wednesday shared a poster of the Mrinal Sen biopic titled ‘Padatik’ and sends his good wishes to the actor Chanchal Chowdhury
and the team.
“All good wishes…#Padatik # Chanchal Chowdhury # Srijit Mukherji,” the post reads.
Mrinal Sen was a pioneer in his craft, coincidentally also giving Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan one of his first ‘film work’, in the form of a voiceover in his 1969 film
‘Bhuvan Shome’.
Kolkata’s actress Monami Ghosh will play Mrinal Sen’s wife Gita Sen in the maverick filmmaker’s biopic.
The shooting of the film Padatik will begin this month. This movie will be released in 2023. ‘Padatik’ will be produced by Firdousul Hasan’s Friends Communication.
