YSSE organized Bangladesh Youth Symposium at IUB

Youth School for Social Entrepreneurs (YSSE) organized “Bangladesh Youth Symposium 2018” in association with “Independent HR Society (IHRS)” on Thursday at Independent University premises. “Engaging youth in entrepreneurship and make them aware them about the advantages and solutions of obstacles of self- employment”- was the prime motive of this event.
Sidsel Bleken, Ambassador, Embassy of Norway, was the guest of honor of this youthful event. UNESCO’S Artist for Peace, well known designer, Bangladeshi fashion tycoon, entrepreneur and model, Bibi Rasell and Senior Vice President of BRAC Bank Limited, Zara Mahbub were the special guests. Jalal Ahmed, Additional Secretary, Finance Division and National Project Director of Skills for Employment Investment Program (SEIP), spoke as the keynote speaker. Tajdin Hassan, Head of Marketing, The Daily Star took session to teach young entrepreneurs about the possible marketing strategies for a startup. Prito Reza, Director of Prito Reza Production and Ghulam Sumdany, Chief Inspirational Officer, Don Sumdany facilitation, presented their energetic speech sharing their own experiences of self-employment. Rezaur Rahman, CSO of HandyMama; Lokman Hasan Forhad, CEO of Phed International and Khaled Mahfuz Saeef, Program Officer of PKSF, were successful to engage future entrepreneurs to inspire them to work in social entrepreneurship arena. An “Elevator Pitch Challenge” was arranged to encourage the audience to engage more. Riduan Kabir Rimon, Known as RJ Rimon, Sports Commentator of Radio Shadhin 92.4FM, was the program host.
With the succession of Bangladesh Youth Symposium (BYS) at IUB, BUET, DIU and Primeasia University, YSSE decided to step forward with the flag of BYS to spread entrepreneurial spirit among the youth in different institutes. In future, YSSE will try to reach remote area’s educational institutions of Bangladesh too very soon- said Sheikh Mohammad Yousuf Hossain.
