Agriculture Minister and Awami League presidium member Dr. Md. Abdur Razzaque said today said that the Awami League government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is determined to build a non-communal Bangladesh.

However, a vested quarter is very active in the country against the non-communal spirit, he said.

The minister said this while visiting various puja mandaps and exchanging greetings with the Hindus in Dhanbari upazila of the district this morning, said a press release here.

The opposition wants to come in power by using communal spirit and religion as a tool for their political gain and to exploit and rule the people of the country, he said.

“We all have to be aware of this evil force,” he said.

“In this festival, everyone must take an oath collectively; we will resist this communal power and will maintain communal harmony at any cost.

He also said that if anyone wants to create any sabotage centering Durga Puja, strict action will be taken against them.
