Actress Ratna Kabir Sweety, popularly known as Ratna in Dhallywood, is trying to be regular in acting again. For this, she acted in a new movie and a new TV drama. She recently completed her acting in the film ‘Kishore Gangster’ directed by Mosaddekh Falgun.
Ratna chose to work in the film because the story and her character in the film moved her. In the meantime, she has also acted in a TV drama titled ‘Cinema Pagal’, produced by Russell Mia. Ratna informed that she finished the work on this drama last Thursday. In this drama, she played a central role.
Ratna said, “Although I have been irregular in acting for some time, now I am trying to become regular in acting. I was busy with my personal life for a while. Apart from being busy with family life, now I want to continue acting because I love it. So if I receive good scripts and good characters, I want to act regularly.”
And now the style of filmmaking is being changed. There is a lot of emphasis on the story. I want to work on those kinds of stories too. As an artist, I have the hunger to act. That’s why I’m eagerly waiting to act in my dream role. I believe I will be able to work in a challenging role in the future.
Otherwise, as an artiste, hunger or dissatisfaction will remain on my mind. I like the story of the film ‘Kishore Gangster’. I hope the audience will like the movie when it will be released”, she added.
Ratna entered the film arena of Bangladesh with the film ‘Keno Valobaslam’ in 2002 where Ferdous Ahmed was her co-artiste. After that she acted in ‘Itihas’, ‘Maran Niye Khela’, ‘Porena Chokher Palak’, ‘Tumi Sudhu Amar’, ‘Tumi Ki Sei’, ‘Piryo Sathi’, ‘Mon Jekhane Hridoy Sekhane’, and others. Her last released film was ‘Sedin Brishty Chhilo’ which was released in 2014. Ratna-acted film ‘Orun Borun Kiron Mala’, ‘Poran Pakhi’, ‘Nasta Munna’, and ‘Kothin Lorai’ is waiting to see released.
