JP starts selling nomination papers

DHAKA – The selling of nomination papers of Jatiya Party started among the aspirants seeking to contest in the upcoming 11th parliamentary polls.

Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad was the first to buy the nomination paper from Rangpur-3 constituency.

Earlier, HM Ershad inaugurated the selling of the nomination paper at 11 am at Emmanuelle’s Convention Centre in city’s Gulshan area.

In his speech, Ehrshad declared to reduce the price of the nomination paper. Now, the aspirants can buy the papers at a cost of Taka 20,000, which was Taka 30,000.

Later, JP senior co-chairman Begum Raushan Ershad, co-chairman GM Kader and secretary general ABM Ruhul Amin Haowlader bought nomination papers.

The other Jatiya Party leaders, who bought nomination papers, include senior leaders Barrister Anisul Islam Mahmud, Kazi Firoz Rashid, Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu, Syed Abu Hossain Babla, Fakhrul Imam, Advocate Salma Islam, Syed Abdul Mannan, Sunil Shuvo Roy and SM Faisal Chisti.

The form selling will continue till November 14 and interview process of the candidates will start on the same day, sources said.
