BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi alleged that Election Commission had announced schedule for 11th Jatiya Sangsad election under directive of ruling administration (Awami League) ignoring opinions of all political parties.

The senior BNP leader came up with the allegation at a press conference in city’s Nayapaltan party office on Friday (November 9).

Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said, “There is nothing called ‘level playing field’ in elections. Arbitrary arrest of all opposition party leaders and activists, including BNP, has been going on. Harassment on pretext of police raid is also being continued. Intimidation engulfs everything.”

“Law and justice are rested upon the hand of a single individual, which is why opposition party leaders and activists are deprived of justice,” he added.
