Bangamata was a brave woman with a unique personality: BU VC

Bangamata Sheikh Fozilatunnesa Mujib was a fellow of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, said Barishal University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Sadequl Arefin.

Addressing celebration of 92nd birth anniversary of Bangamata, he said she encouraged and supported Bangabandhu in all his works.

She was one of the main sources behind the mass awakening that Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman created to unite the Bengalis and encourage them in the great liberation war.

The Vice-Chancellor also said of Bangamata  was not only Bangabandhu’s consort but also brave woman with a unique personality.  She was a noble woman with strong will.  Every Bengali should remember her contribution and sacrifice for the country forever.

Bangmata Sheikh Fozilatunnesa Mujib Hall of Barishal University organized the virtual discussion meeting.

Treasurer of the university Badruzzaman Bhuiyan  was the special guest at the meeting.

Provost of Bangmata Sheikh Fozilatunnesa Mujib Hall Tashnuva Habib Jisan also spoke at the event, Provost of Bangabandhu Hall Md Arif Hossain and General Secretary of Teachers’ Association Dr  Mohammad Abdul Baten Chowdhury,  Dean, Registrar, Proctor, faculty members, head of departments, resident teachers, students, officers and employees of Bangmata Sheikh Fozilatunnesa Mujib Hall joined the event.

The meeting was anchored by Assistant Prof of Public Administration Department and Resident Teacher of Bangmata Sheikh Fozilatunnesa Mujib Hall Hosneyara Dalia.
