6 non-resident envoys present credentials to President

DHAKA : Non-resident envoys of six countries presented their credentials to President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Wednesday.
Ambassadors of four countries and high commissioners of two others to Bangladesh separately presented their credentials to the President in the afternoon. The envoys are: Austrian non-resident Ambassador to Bangladesh (based in New Delhi) Britgitte Oppinger-Walchshofer, Ivan Lancaric of Slovak Republic, Dinah Grace Alkello of Uganda, ambassador of Poland to Bangladesh with residence in New Delhi Adam Burakowshi, and high commissioners – Michael Aaron NiiNortey Oquaye Jnr of Ghana and Barlybay Sadkov of Kazakhstan. Welcoming the envoys, Abdul Hamid said the foreign policy attaches importance to bilateral and friendly relations with all, President’s Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told UNB.
The President said Bangladesh always gives importance to increasing bilateral cooperation alongside multilateral relationship, hoping that the envoys will continue outmost efforts to increase it. Mentioning the development in health, education and women empowerment, he also said Bangladesh is being considered as the role model to different countries.
The envoys told Abdul Hamid that they would do everything necessary to increase bilateral cooperation with Bangladesh in the days to come.
Secretaries concerned to the President and high officials of the Foreign Ministry were present.
