DHAKA – Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal today said the government has no dearth in its sincerity regarding the medical treatment of BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

“The government is cent percent sincere about Khaleda’s treatment. She will be taken to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) for a medical checkup,” he said, replying to a question from reporters at his office in the ministry.

Asked about the time of taking Khaleda to the BSMMU, the minister said IG Prisons will fix the time.

“She will get treatment at BSMMU as there are prominent doctors and researchers in this hospital. Besides, her private physicians will also be available,” Kamal added.

Any decision may be taken as per the doctors’ suggestions, if needed, the minister said.
