YSSE and SBSF’s Bangladesh Youth Symposium-2018 held at DIU

Today’s youth are worried about their possibility of being employed in future career. This imposed tension is inglorious to their creative mind. Creative solution of social problem can create employment opportunities and increase social development both.

This ultimate solution of youth’s problem was derived from the discussion arranged at the premises of Daffodil
International University (DIU) named “Bangladesh Youth Symposium-DIU”. Youth School for Social Entrepreneurs (YSSE) and Social Business Student’s Forum (SBSF) jointly arranged this mega event on 30 th October, 2018.

This mega event was arranged to inform students about basic requirements of entrepreneurship, strategies to build a venture, tactics to launch a product or service and ways to overcome hurdles in the way of successful entrepreneurial journey.

The colorful stage of BYS-DIU was gratified to start the event with the welcome speech of honorable Convener of SBSF and Senior Lecturer of DIU, Md. KamruzzmaanDidar, Professor and Dean of Faculty of Business and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Mohammad Masum Iqbal, delivered speech as special guest to touch up future entrepreneurs. After that Sheikh Mohammad Yousuf Hossain, the President and Founder of YSSE, disseminated the mission,
vision and target of YSSE and BYS.

He appreciated SBSF’s activities and conveyed applaud for being a part of “BYS” at DIU. The Chairman of Palli Karma Sahayak Foundation (PKSF), Mr.Qazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad embodied the seat of Chief Guest of the event and inaugurated the main part of the event with his virtuous speech. He noticed the young entrepreneurs are working on urban project too much. They should consider village and women as their target market too. Mr. M. Naveed Akbar, Director of Edward M Kennedy Center shared his insights about social entrepreneurship in the “Big Picture of Self-employment”.

Mr. Ashfaq Zaman, Advisor to Queen's Young Leaders & President at LEAD was the special guest of the event. He observed that in the last few years our young students won prizes in the national and international arena. For being foresight, they have to turn their ideas into proper business plan with the association of advisors. Ms. Surayya Siddiqua, Head of Marketing & Communication of ICP-International Consumer Products Bangladesh Limited, discussed on the marketing of a new product by a new venture. Zober Khan, Founder of Shouhardo and 2nd Runner-up of Social Business Creation Regional 2018, HEC Montreal, Canada shared his glorious and

struggling journey from a student to an entrepreneur. Mr. Ilmul Haque Sajib, Co-founder of Sheba.xyz, shared their working and business experiences to be a successful startup of Bangladesh.In the session of “Successful Entrepreneur’s Talk” Ghulam Sumdany, CEO of Wikreate Ltd. added his precious speech with spanking personality. Mr. Kazi Mesbah Ur Rahman, International Activist of Social Business, Adviser of SBSF, provided 6 lessons to be
successful social entrepreneur. Mr. Deepal A. Jain, Director of Business Consulting, Subex Limited, took a career grooming session on everything that as an entrepreneur needs to know. Bhaskar Sarkar, President, Social Business Students’ Forum (SBSF) and Sheikh Mohammad Yousuf Hossain, President of YSSE, turned off the screen of BYSat DIU at the ending ceremony of the event.
