One of the versatile actresses of small screen Tanjin Tisha to be seen as a female rickshaw puller in her upcoming Eid drama titled ‘Rickshaw Girl’, directed by Rafat Majumdar Rinku, and written by Ahmed Tawkir.
Although the name and Tisha’s look for the drama is similar to Amitabh Reza Chowdhury directorial film ‘Rickshaw Girl’, but don’t get confused it’s a different story. Many will not recognise the beautiful actress Tanjin Tisha at first in this look. She was seen dressed in a very simple salwar kameez, dirtied face, sitting on the driver’s seat and paddling the rickshaw with the strength of two legs.
In this tele-fiction titled ‘Rickshaw Girl’ Tisha has played the role of Shikha, who lives in the slums with her family and a little sister, Pori. Shikha is a struggling woman, who has a different kind of survival in this city to make her livelihood in a male-dominated society is expected to move viewers. Every day she goes to work in her rickshaw. However, the story of another man named Rezaul is hidden behind Shikha’s rickshaw ride.
Apart from Tisha, Sohel Mondol has played an important role in the drama. It has also a song which is written by Robiul Islam Jibon. Antra Rahman sang the song to the tune of Rafiqul Islam Farhad. The drama will be aired on RTV on the upcoming Eid.
