On the occasion of International Anti-Drug Day, an anti-drug rally was held on Sunday in Nandankanan at the initiative of Nandankanan Club. Helal Akbar Chowdhury Babar, the inventor of the Corona Prevention Booth in Bangladesh and former Deputy Finance Secretary of the Central Awami Juba League, addressed the gathering as the chief guest.

At the time, he said, drugs were a complex problem. Drug addiction is one of the most deadly maladies of modern civilization. Drugs have destroyed the lives and families of countless successful scholars, intellectuals and other successful people in the world. This problem is becoming more and more evident day by day. As soon as a member of a family becomes addicted to drugs, horrible circumstances descend on that family. The problems that surround drug addiction can lead a family to disaster.

At present, Yaba from Myanmar and Phensidyl from India are attracting youth of Bangladesh. When they become addicted to this drug, they are engaging in social crime to pay for it. Therefore, it is necessary to boycott drugs to save the generation and expel drug dealers.

Drug eradication is essential to build a modern Bangladesh and strengthen the hand of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
