Cast vote to boat, not candidates: Sheikh Helal

Bangabandhu’s nephew and parliament member of Bagerhat-1 constituency Sheikh Helal Uddin MP has urged to cast vote to boat symbol, not candidates in the upcoming parliamentary election. Whoever Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina nominates, make that person the winner forgetting the differences. The leaders and workers must be united. We do not want to go back again in 2001.
He said this while addressing as the chief guest at a function after laying foundation stone of the construction of the mural of Bangabandhu in Shaheed Minar chattar in Bagerhat city. Sheikh Helal further said that during the last 10 years Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s government has made unprecedented development in all areas. We need to show the picture of the development of the Awami League government to ordinary voters by going to every house. General people should understand that there is no alternative to Awami League for the continuation of development and progress of the country. The mural of Bangabandhu is being constructed by district administration by spending half a crore taka.
Later he inaugurated Sheikh Helal Kabaddi Stadium, built in front of Bagerhat Sheikh Helal Uddin Stadium. It has been constructed with the support of Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation and Bagerhat district police with half a crore taka. Earlier in the morning, Sheikh Helal Uddin MP addressed a concrete rally at Lakhpur Alhaz Ambia Ishak Collegiate Girls School ground in his constituency in Fakirhat upazila.
Khulna mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleque, central Awami League leader SM Kamal Hossain, District Awami League president Dr Md. Mozammel Hossain MP, General Secretary and Zila Parishad chairman freedom fighter Sheikh Kamruzzaman Tuku, Mir Shawkat Ali Badshah MP, Mayor of Bagerhat municipality Khan Habibur Rahman, Awami League leader Farida Akhter Banu Lucy, Deputy Commissioner Tapan Kumar Bishwas and Police Super Pankaj Chandra Roy were among others also present at the occasions.
