Sports Hockey: Bangladesh beat Indonesia 2-1 in preparatory match ahead of Asis Cup

Bangladesh Hockey team, now in Indonesia to participate in the Hero Men’s Asia Cup Hockey’ 2022, defeated hosts Indonesia by 2-1 goal in a preparatory match in Jakarta on Thursday..

Khurshedur Rahman and Rakibul Hasan scored one goal each for Bangladesh in the day’s match.

Bangladesh will play another preparatory Hockey match against their giant neighbour India on Saturday (May 21).

The eight-nation prestigious Hero Men’s Asia Cup Hockey:2022 will be held in Jakarta from May 23 to June 1.

In the Hero Men’s Asia Cup Hockey, Bangladesh team was placed in Pool B with Malaysia, Korea and Oman.

Bangladesh will face Korea on May 23, Oman on May 24 and Malaysia on May 26.

Earlier in last March in Jakarta, Bangladesh qualified for the Hero Men’s Asia Cup Hockey by clinching the nine-nation Men’s AHF Cup Hockey title for the fourth consecutive times with all-win record.

Bangladesh beat Indonesia by 7-2 goal in the AHF Cup Hockey in last March in Jakarta and defeated Indonesia again by 3-1 goals In the Asian Games Hockey Qualifier in Bangkok on May 7 last.
