Barisal Metropolitan Police Commissioner and Additional IGP Shahabuddin Khan said, “there can be nothing more than love, honor, respect. That is the absolute attainment. I am lucky to be soaked in the love from the journalists. I am grateful to the journalists. Police will have friendship with journalists. Journalists cannot be in conflict with the police.”
He said, “in my experience in Barishal, the journalists here are very positive. They support good work. There are brave journalists in Barishal. We have to make sure that this bondage is not damaged in any way. This will benefit the country and the people. We want to take this good relationship further. There is a conflict between the police and the people in Bangladesh, why is that? It can’t be like that. People and police are friends of each other. There will be friendly relations between the journalist and the police.”
Barishal Metropolitan Police Commissioner was speaking as the chief guest at the exchange of greetings on the occasion of promotion to the post of Additional IGP and his departure from Barishal.
President of Barishal Press Club Kazi Nasir Uddin Babul presided over the function and General Secretary of the Press Club SM Zakir Hossain gave a welcome speech.

After the departure of the Barisal Press Club BMP Commissioner Members of the executive committee including the president and secretary handed over a memorandum of greetings to Shahabuddin Khan.
