The area was known as Chhankhola and had some hillocks. The purpose was to plant rubber and fruit trees. To fulfill his father’s dream, social worker Md. Kamal Hossain bought these 122 acres of hilly land in phases. At that time people knew it as Kamal Hossain’s garden. Later, social worker Md. Kamal Hossain established the Palace Luxury Resort with rubber and fruit orchards. He was accompanied by Arifur Rahman and others. The rest of the land has a fruit and flower garden with the bungalow of the founding chairman. Md. Kamal Hossain is the founding chairman of the resort.
The international standard resort established by him is located on the side of Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Bahubal upazila of Habiganj district. The Tea Garden is one of the most beautiful resorts in the country. The resort has been redesigned to meet the hygienic requirements. Surrounded by lush green hills, ravines, lakes, springs and 30,000 trees, the resort also have tea, pineapple, rubber and lemon groves. It would seem that the whole of Sylhet was seen from one place. Rich in rows of exotic pine and fir trees, the resort is now ready to make the journey enjoyable by ensuring all the safety of the tourists. Security is paramount here. The resort is accessible by helicopter and road. When guests go in front of the reception table, arrangements are made to enter the name. Then the key of the room is given. So that the invited guests can enjoy everything for sure. A health center has been set up at the resort. This health center is ready 24 hours a day for any urgent physical problem of the guest. Has its own doctor. Adequate oxygen cylinders have also been stored. This picturesque resort will bring peace of mind and body. Water flows from one side of the resort and descends down the hill to the Infinity Pool. Again, the tradition of Sylhet will remind the guest of the village with the green hemp. Lina Khatun, director of the resort, said her husband is the founding chairman of The Palace. Even though they live far away, they have love for the country. It has stemmed from love. The resort is playing a huge role in attracting tourists as well as protecting the environment.
