Helal Akbar Chowdhury continuing month-long ifter, sehri distribution

The ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury Foundation is distributing Iftar and Seheri among two to three thousand fasting men and women every day as part of a month-long program among the helpless and low-income people during the ongoing holy month of Ramadan.

From the first Ramadan Helal Akbar Chowdhury Babar, Deputy Finance Secretary of the former Central Juba League, is in charge of this relentless distribution of Iftar and Seheri among pedestrians and ordinary fasting people in a humanitarian initiative.

On his initiative, these Iftar and food items are being distributed in different low-income populated areas of Chattogram metropolis every day before Iftar, especially in Enayet Bazar, BRTC, Jamtala, Boyle Avenue, Jamalkhan, Jhautla, Chawkbazar, Andarkilla, Railway Station, Bus Truck Station, Garment area. This Iftar and Seheri food is distributed in different areas of slum dwellers living in Chattogram city including neighborhoods and industrial areas. Helal Akbar Chowdhury Babar is also distributing cooked food among the sleeping helpless people in different villages during Sehri in the middle of the night.

During these programs, Helal Akbar Chowdhury Babar said, “I have undertaken this month-long Iftar and Seheri distribution program on behalf of ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury Foundation so that helpless and pedestrians do not suffer in Iftar and Seheri during the holy month of Ramadan.”Mohiuddin Chowdhury has taught us during his lifetime that to stand by people, to make people our own, we are also trying to learn from his life philosophy to be by people’s side, our activities were and will continue throughout the month of Ramadan.

It is to be noted that when the whole country was under house arrest in the Corona epidemic, the humanitarian Juba League leader came down across the country to rescue the people, took the initiative to relieve the people from the deadly disease Corona like ATM booths from which masks and hand sanitizers come out easily. On its own initiative, Chattogram has set up about 22,000 Corona booths in 62 districts across the country, starting from Metro and districts. His innovations and initiatives have been widely acclaimed throughout Bangladesh, earning him the title of “Human Leader” in recognition, as well as special honors from various organizations and institutions.
