DHAKA – The parliamentary standing committee on the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs today asked concerned officials to arrange a meeting of the trustee board within the shortest possible time.

“The committee has urged the ministry to take steps for organizing a meeting of the trustee board within the shortest possible time by taking time from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina,” a parliamentary secretariat statement said.

The meeting, it said, also reviewed the decisions that were taken on 23rd meeting of the committee and overall activities of the Muktijoddha Kalyan Trust.

The committee recommended for proper use of the assets and lands of the Muktijoddha Kalyan Trust.

According to the statement this was the 25th meeting of the committee presided over by its chairman A B Tajul Islam.

Committee members Nurunnabi Chowdhury, Ashek Ullah Rafique, Swapan Bhattacharya, Kamrul Laila Jolly, Secretary of the ministry, Managing Director of the Muktijoddha Kalyan Trust and other concerned officers were present.
