Minister Matia visits puja mandap in Nakla

Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury on Wednesday night visited a puja mandap at Kalimata temple in Nakla Bazar. There she exchanged regards and greetings with the Durga Puja worshipers.
Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury also addressed a short ceremony on the occasion where she said that ‘All religions should contribute to celebrate the celebration of Puja festival of the Hindu community. In particular, the police administration and Awami League activists have to play the role of watchdog in the safety of Puja ceremony.’
Among others, Deputy Commissioner of Sherpur Anar Koli Mahbub, Police Super Kazi Ashraful Azim, Nakla UNO Zahidur Rahman, President of Upazila Awami League freedom fighter Mostafizur Rahman and General Secretary freedom fighter Shafiqul Islam Jinnah, mayor Hafizur Rahman Liton, Sherpur Agriculture Deputy Director Ashraf Uddin, Awami League leaders and devotees were also available. Agriculture Minister took part in the same program at Nalitabari on Thursday.
