Educational institutions won’t be closed now

Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni said, we have decided that we will not close the educational institution now. However, in the case of corona virus, the activities of vaccination among students and monitoring of hygiene in educational institutions will be intensified. The minister said students between the ages of 12 and 18 are more than 1 crore 16 lakh 23 thousand. Among them more than 75 lakh 54 thousand students (till Monday) did not get any vaccine for corona.

Education Minister Dipu Moni said this at a press briefing at the Secretariat on Monday (January 10). She said the number of our 12 to 18 year old students is more than 1 crore 16 lakh 23 thousand. About 4.4 million of them received the first dose of the vaccine. And more than 4 lakh 19 thousand students got two doses of vaccine. Totally with the first and second doses more than 19 thousand students out of 48 million received corona virus vaccine. And more than 75 lakh 54 thousand students did not get any vaccine for corona.

Dipu Moni said the first dose of vaccine will be given to students aged 12-18 by January 31. Vaccines will only be available if students aged 12-18 prove their identities to receive the corona virus vaccine. Minister said 12-18 year olds students should only provide proof for the vaccine. Those who have received one dose of the vaccine by January 12 will only be able to attend classes in the classroom. Others are currently taking part in educational activities online or on television. If everyone gets at least one dose of vaccine, they will be able to take physical classes from then on.
