RMCH Covid-19 unit sees another day of zero fatality

RAJSHAHI,  – Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) recorded zero fatality in its Covid-19 unit in the last 24 hours till 6am after four days today. RMCH Director Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani told newsmen that the hospital also recorded zero deaths on November 17, November 29, November 7 and October 31.

Earlier, the number of casualties was 33 in November, 100 in October, 167 in September, 340 in August, 566 in July and 405 in June in the Covid unit of RMCH, sources said.

Meanwhile, thirty-four more patients, including nine tested positive for Covid-19, are undergoing treatment in the designated unit at present. Four other patients returned home after being cured during the same time.

On the other hand, seven more patients tested positive for Covid-19 after testing 253 samples in Rajshahi’s two laboratories on Wednesday, showing a 1.30 percent positivity rate in Rajshahi, 5.67 percent in Joypurhat, 6.25 percent in Chapainawabganj and 8.33 percent in Natore.
