Met office forecasts low pressure over Southwest Bay

DHAKA,  – Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecasted that a low pressure area is likely to form over Southwest Bay in next 24 hours. Ridge of sub-continental high extends up to Bihar and adjoining area as trough of low extending from South Bay persists over North Bay, a BMD release said in its 24-hour weather bulletin commencing at 9am today.

Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country. Light to moderate fog may occur at some isolated places over the country during tomorrow early morning.

Night temperature may fall 1-2 degrees Celsius and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country. Country’s maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded 33.5 degrees Celsius at Cox’s Bazar and minimum temperature today was 15.0 degrees Celsius at Badalgacchi. Today’s sunset at 5.10 PM and tomorrow’s sunrise at 6.20 AM at Dhaka.
