The Home Minister has been directed by the Prime Minister to take “stand action” against those involved in attacks on minorities and arson in their homes, said Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam. He made the remarks in response to a question from reporters after a cabinet meeting at the secretariat on Tuesday. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presided over the cabinet meeting via video conference from Ganobhaban. Responding to a question, the cabinet secretary said it was made clear in the cabinet meeting yesterday that the home ministry had earlier been told to go for “stand action”. Those who are involved must be caught.

“Besides, the people have to be a little more patient, there can be no reaction,” he said. If anyone insults my Qur’an, the Qur’an does not give me the authority to demolish houses, it is not right; it’s a crime. If someone does something insulting about religion, we can protest, we can demand from the government that should be punished. But I will do destructive work it is completely unexpected, it is not right. The biggest crime in Islam is fitna.
The Cabinet Secretary said that today it has been said that it has already been given instructions to the Home Minister, stand action.

Action will be taken against those who initiated these as soon as possible. As well as religious and political figures have been told that if someone does a minor twist, it is necessary to react in this way, it is not right, it cannot be done. Asked if anything had been said about the closure of face book the cabinet secretary said no.
