Bangabandhu’s killer Noor Chowdhury must be brought to justice: Murad

DHAKA,  – State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Md Murad Hassan today said that Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s self-confessed fugitive killer Noor Chowdhury must be brought to justice on the soil of the country.

“Noor Chowdhury, the self-confessed murderer of Bangabandhu living in Toronto, must be punished on the soil of Bangladesh during his lifetime. According to the latest information from the Canadian government, this killer has taken asylum in this country,” he said.

Returning home after an 11-day official visit to Canada, Murad said it while responding to a question of the journalist at a view exchanging meeting at his secretariat office here.

Earlier, he attended at a view exchanging meeting on ‘Digital Communication and Mass Media’ at Ryerson University in Canada organized by Bangladesh Television as the chief guest, according to a press release received here today.

The meeting was also attended by the faculty chairman of Ryerson University, the director of the Prime Minister’s Office of Canada and the faculty and staff of the university.

During the meeting, Murad gave details about how the digital activities of Bangladesh Television are being conducted across the country and how Bangladesh has been transformed into Digital Bangladesh in the last twelve years.

Murad returned home on October 4, the release also said.
