No Covid-19 death reported in Manikganj for 21 consecutive days

MANIKGANJ,  – No fresh Covid-19-related death was reported in the district during the last 24 hours for the 21 consecutive days, district health department sources said.

The district recorded 1.85 percent Covid-19 positivity rate as two fresh cases were reported after testing 108 samples at the Colonel Maleque Medical College PCR Lab during the last 24 hours till this morning. Medical Officer of Manikganj Civil Surgeon Office Dr. Rafiqun Nahar Banna said a total of 8,183 patients were detected COVID-19 positive in the district after testing 46,092 samples.

Besides, the number of cured patients from the lethal virus stood at 7,911 in the district, the medical officer said. The death toll from the virus stands at 125 in the district. Meanwhile, a total of 3,82,671 people have taken the 1st dose of COVID- 19 vaccine and 1,51,964 have taken the 2nd dose in the district, health department sources said.
