Sonakshi Sinha faces Zaheer Iqbal's dark obsession

The trailer of Tu Hai Meri Kiran, starring Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal, was unveiled on Tuesday, October 6. The upcoming film promises a tense psychological thriller that explores how a special connection can take a disturbing turn when feelings cross the line between love and obsession.

The trailer introduces Sonakshi as Kiran and Zaheer as Samar, whose relationship appears to be far from ordinary. Samar believes that he and Kiran share a special connection, but what he describes as love soon begins to feel increasingly unsettling.

Kiran, meanwhile, appears determined to distance herself from Samar. At one point, she asks him to leave her alone and stop calling her. However, Samar refuses to let go, hinting that his fixation with Kiran is only beginning.

The trailer keeps the nature of their relationship mysterious. In several sequences, reality itself seems questionable, with strange incidents leaving Kiran and the audience wondering what is actually happening. There are also hints that someone could be manipulating her perception and driving her towards the brink.

The tension builds as Samar’s behaviour becomes increasingly possessive. The trailer ends on an ominous note, with him promising to take care of Kiran “forever” as she lies unconscious and injured.

The film is directed by Karan Rawal and produced by Vishal Rana and Echelon Productions. Tu Hai Meri Kiran is set to release in cinemas on October 23, 2026.

What Sonakshi and Zaheer said

Talking about the film, Sonakshi Sinha said in a statement, “Tu Hai Meri Kiran is a very different space for me, and that’s what made it so exciting. What intrigued me most was the unsettling world the film creates, where an emotion can slowly become something far more intense and consuming. My character goes through a very unusual journey, and there are so many layers to her that I really enjoyed exploring.”

Zaheer Iqbal added, “Tu Hai Meri Kiran is a very special film for me. What drew me to the story was the way it explores one-sided love and how an emotion that begins with intensity can take an unexpected turn. There is a strong sense of mystery and suspense throughout the film, which keeps you wondering what lies beneath the surface. I really enjoyed exploring the complexities of my character and discovering the different layers to him. Working with Sonakshi made the experience even more special.”

Producer Vishal Rana said the film explores “one-sided love, obsession and the dangerous consequences that can follow”. He added that the story keeps audiences questioning “what is real, what is imagined and where the story is headed”.

With its focus on obsession, suspense and shifting realities, Tu Hai Meri Kiran appears to be keeping its biggest secret under wraps. Audiences will find out what happens to Kiran and Samar when the film releases in theatres on October 23.
