Bhabna says some artistes have ‘No Value’

SHEHUB MUNAWAR WAHID

Questions have been raised many times about the double standard of artistes who live a life of public morality but live an uncontrolled life including drugs in their private lives.

This time, actress Ashna Habib Bhabna has spoken about some of the unpleasant truths hidden behind the glamour of the showbiz arena.

The actress has brought to the fore the realisations she has gained from what she has seen and experienced in her many years of career.

Bhabna started her journey in the acting world from a young age. She is not unfamiliar with the various behind-the-scenes stories of the entertainment world for the convenience of her work.

After a long experience, Bhabna said that there are many so-called big-name artistes whose personalities and personal lives do not match the hype in any way.

In Bhabna’s words, “I won’t lie. I entered the industry at a very young age. Many times I have heard, ‘Oh, you don’t drink?’ These things are actually inappropriate to say.

However, many people are seen talking about big principles in interviews, but in their personal lives they are not at all nice people. We all see that.”

At this stage in life, Bhabna no longer feels the urge to hide the truth. From her own perspective, she further says, “Now I feel like I’ve grown up.

The idea that people can die at any time now works within me. So, I’ll say whatever I want to say.

Those who spread moral talk in interviews, then go behind the scenes and take drugs or other things and try to make it a kind of inspiration, they don’t carry any value to me as artistes.”

Stating that an artiste should have moral and social responsibilities towards the society, Bhabna raised the question, “When you are an artiste, you have some responsibilities towards the society.

Why would you lead such a frivolous life? Look at a personality like Syed Jamil Ahmed, he doesn’t have to do any drugs! He works so much that his work becomes his identity.

So, I have to say with great sadness, I don’t consider those who start eating junk food as soon as the evening falls to be real artistes.”
