Drishyam 3 advance booking on fire with Rs 50 crore

Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam: The Conclusion is just a day away from its grand release, and the advance booking numbers are already pointing to a massive opening. The third and final instalment of the popular Hindi franchise is on course for a Rs 50 crore nett opening day in India, according to early trade estimates.

The advance sales have put Drishyam 3 on course to record the second-biggest opening for a Hindi film in 2026, behind only Dhurandhar 2. With expectations of a Rs 50 crore nett opening, the Abhishek Pathak directorial is set to leave the year’s other major Hindi openers well behind, including Mirzapur: The Movie (Rs 28.11 crore) and Border 2 (Rs 32.10 crore).

By 10 am on Thursday, Drishyam 3 had recorded Rs 19.75 crore in advance sales, selling more than 5.35 lakh tickets across over 12,000 shows for Friday, its opening day. The three-day weekend numbers are even more encouraging, with the film raking in Rs 36.25 crore gross, including block seats, from advance bookings in India, according to trade website Sacnilk.

The momentum is not limited to India. Drishyam 3 has already clocked more than Rs 3 crore in overseas pre-sales for its opening day, with the total weekend advance gross crossing Rs 5 crore. The film is now on track to touch Rs 50 crore in combined pre-sales worldwide before it hits theatres, adding further weight to expectations of a huge opening weekend.

In India, the film has already built a sizeable cushion through advance bookings, with opening-day gross nearing Rs 20 crore even before the final day of sales. With bookings still open and the last-minute rush yet to play out, Drishyam: The Conclusion has a clear shot at converting its strong pre-release demand into a Rs 50 crore nett opening on Friday. The film has already left its predecessor’s (Drishyam 2) advance sales record far behind.

The film brings Ajay Devgn back to the role of Vijay Salgaonkar, a family man who will do anything to protect the secrets of his family. The actor is joined by Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Tabu, Jaideep Ahlawat and Mrunal Jadhav in the third instalment. Drishyam: The Conclusion hit the screens on October 2.
